The Ovenecká 9 residential project is a corner building from 1900 in the heart of Letná, a sought-after neighborhood that elegantly blends an urban environment with a friendly neighborly atmosphere. Completely reconstructed, it’s crowned by a two-level extension and a new annex will be added in the courtyard. The meticulous reconstruction of this over one-hundred-year-old building will take extra care to respect the original architectural and craftsmanship elements. The street-facing side of the building will have a preserved historical facade, and its courtyard-facing side will have a modern look with new balconies. The common areas will boast a timeless elegance.
All of the units will be offered for sale in a fully finished state, which includes quality wooden floors and modern bathrooms. The largest residential units come with the option to buy a parking space in a car stacker in the courtyard. The purchase of a brick storage unit in the building’s basement is a mandatory condition of the sales contract.
A word from the architect
It’s possible to sensitively inject a level of luxury, design, and functionality that respects the past even in a seemingly incongruous historical corner building with a courtyard that has seen many unsuitable additions and extensions. Its transformation, including covered parking in the courtyard, will re-establish the corner building’s dominant position, grandness, and importance. Prague 7 – Letná, close to Stromovka Park, certainly deserves this.
